THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST LIVE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE FROM READINGTON TOWNSHIP
JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will work with the Controller to generate various internal financial reports for the company; be responsible for entering operational expenses in budgets, and monthly accounts reconciliations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with creation of weekly cash flow schedule.
- Manage accounts payable.
- Record expense accruals.
- Manage travel and entertainment expense payments and process via an expense reporting system
- Assist with bank reconciliations.
- Assist with auditing process and enforce compliance with finance/accounting standard operating procedures.
- Enter operating expenses by study and line of business and provide background on treatment of such as it relates to variances versus budgets.
- Responsible for various balance sheet accounts via monthly account reconciliations including but not limited to the following accounts:
- Accounts Payable
- Prepaid Expenses
- Accrued Expenses
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 3-5 years of related accounting experience required.
- Have strong mathematical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to seamlessly work independently and in teams.
- Must be detailed-oriented and be able to meet deadlines.
- Be able to account for and maintain account balances.
- Must have experience in managing files and producing information for internal and external audits.
- Experience and understanding of month end close procedures is required.
- Experience in QuickBooks is required.
- Strong MS Excel skills are required.
- Experience with Expensify/Concur is a plus.
