We’re seeking individuals to work with youth and families in need. You’ll provide comprehensive and culturally responsive substance use disorder assessments for children, youth, and their families. Help grow Ryther’s SUD programs so we can meet the needs of our community.

SUDP Apprentices are trained to conduct assessments, counsel individuals and groups, and assist with case management. They will learn to Provide targeted, comprehensive, and culturally responsive treatment for adolescents with substance use disorders. The SUDP Apprentice will be learning on the job and working toward being credentialed as a Substance Use Disorder Professional. This includes splitting time between on-the-job training and classroom work. Completion can take 2-2.5 years.

Depending on your experience your salary would be $22 - $25/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend all required classes and completion of all coursework
  • Provide substance use therapy in accordance with the clinic’s treatment model and manual.
  • Develop and initiate treatment plans in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with schools and other systems involved with the client according to the clinical need.
  • Work with client families during treatment, assisting the families in providing appropriate monitoring, adjust to the changes inherent in an adolescent’s recovery and helping the family alter ongoing problematic behavior/relational patterns that increase the adolescent’s risk of substance use.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered SUDPT with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).
  • Acceptance and ability to work with individuals and families with a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, cultural and spiritual practices with the ability to apply a social justice and equity lens to all aspects of this work.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with children and youth.

As a health care provider, Ryther is complying with Governor Inslee’s proclamation that Covid-19 vaccines be mandatory for state employees, health care workers, and all employees of companies that provide health care. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
