Summer of Arts & Sports (SAS) Operations and Support Coordinator (OSC)
This position supports operations of the Summer of Arts and Sports camp by managing and coordinating systems for camp. The OSC is an integral part of the camp “leadership team” and helps provide a friendly and welcoming environment for the campers and parents.
Job responsibilities:
Seasonal Summer Position Hours: Pre-camp: Immediate: May, June, 20-25 hours per week (partially remote and in-person) June 28-August 19; 40 hours per week (In person) Camp dates: June 28-August 19, 2022 June 28-August 19, 2022: 8:30-5:00* pm ( On-site) Salary range: $15-$20 per hour *Hours can vary depending on workload or upcoming events
Location: Commonpoint Queens: Central Queens- 67-09 108 St, Forest Hills,
NY Specifications for physical requirements: Must be able to stand for 45 minutes at a time.
Must be able to move from classroom to classroom and up and down stairs.
Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds.

This position supports operations of the Summer of Arts and Sports camp by managing and coordinating systems for camp. The OSC is an integral part of the camp “leadership team” and helps provide a friendly and welcoming environment for the campers and parents.
Job responsibilities:
- Register participants for Summer of Arts/Sports. Have an excellent working knowledge of the camp registration system “Campsite”. Have the knowledge and ability to send emails, charge payments, create new forms, create reports and other administrative related duties for the program.
- Track and manage payments and required documents. Handle billing, payment plans refund, and collections.
- Answer phones, check and return messages, check and respond to emails and assist walk-in customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain camp databases, and all other pertinent data related to camp.
- Maintain weekly rosters, lunch menus and weekly camp and staff sign-in sheets.
- Help to coordinate mailings for new camp inquiries, returning campers, new campers, confirmations, camp paperwork (i.e. family handbooks, health history forms), newsletters, and email blasts.
- Monitor enrollment numbers and create statistical reports
- Develop or edit camper and staff forms on the camp registration system.
- Assist and attend camp open houses, virtual meetings and other promotional events.
- Order camp supplies as needed and submit check requests for payment.
- Keep accurate records of orders and payment schedules.
- Order, receive, distribute camper lunches daily to camp counselors.
- Coordinate and confirm with the bus company for trips.
- Coordinate and confirm with outside vendors for special events.
- Maintain daily google photos or photo platform for parent viewing.
- Assist in the managing and updating camp social media platforms.
- Coordinate and implement the production of the weekly camp newsletter.
- Collect, review for accuracy, maintain, follow-up of staff hiring paperwork on the camp registration system.
- Review and maintain accident and incident reports
- Assist in supervision of the arrival and departure of campers.
- Maintain the lost and found and communicate to parents for lost items.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid certification and NYC ED Fingerprints by June 15, 2022 Job Type:
