Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. SCOPE
The Production Control Supervisor will assist with the daily managerial requirements of the Production Control Department


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide direction by communicating expectations; review planning; monitor work flow by coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Interpret and ensure self and subordinate employees are in compliance with Company and
  • Department procedures and work instructions
  • Provide leadership and manage the department; make decisions; solve problems; develop procedures; conduct meetings; represent department at internal and external meetings
  • Conduct new employee orientation; train or provide adequate training for employees; coach, counsel and motivate employees
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing situation; identifying solutions; recommending action
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Production Control staff in regards to expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies throughout the facility
  • Assist in line scheduling for production facilities on a weekly basis, as well as working with the Production Control Manager on monthly scheduling
  • Interpret data and provide meaningful analysis of information
  • Confer with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedule
  • Approve leave and overtime; complete or review and sign time sheets
  • Other department duties as assigned by Manager

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 4-year College Degree or HS Diploma/GED and relevant work experience
  • Flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements of a multi-cultural workplace
  • Analytical and process driven thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to lead and direct personnel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
