Shift: Sunday – Tuesday, 6AM – 6PM AND Wednesday 6AM – 3PM

What you will do:

The Transportation Supervisor is the key operations link between the organization, drivers/owner operators, and customers.

The primary responsibility is to lead and supervise driver associates to achieve superior customer service and KPI goals.

Daily execution of the operating plan, equipment utilization, safety, hours of service , and fuel efficiency
-
Use and ensure WMS, TruckMate and PeopleNet systems are updated accurately and promptly
-
Primary on-site supervisor to solve customer service, equipment, driver, and warehouse issues

Assists the Operations Manager with developing, managing and controlling the warehouse and transportation operation

Administrative functions such as billing, invoicing, and driver pay
Our ideal candidate will have…
-
Minimum of 1-3 years leading and supervising drivers in a truckload, LTL or parcel environment preferred
-
High School diploma or equivalent required
-
Ability to build credible relationships with drivers and lead in a dynamic, fast-paced, hands-on environment
-
Ability to evaluate alternatives in order to make the best overall value decisions considering cost, customer expectations, driver needs and other factors
-
Demonstrated analytical ability, attention to detail, and strong computer skills
-
Ability to function in a high-stress environment and deal with a variety of issues in situations where only limited standardization exists
-
Solid judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
-
Proven record of taking initiative and responsibility, both individually and as a member of a team
-
Ability to learn and become an accomplished user in the transportation management and other systems

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in a professional manner
