About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Supplier Enablement Supply Chain Director to join the Supply Chain Management Procure to Pay team. The Procure to Pay team is responsible for global delivery of support Services to the enterprise including Supplier Enablement, Invoice Processing, Accounts Payable, Integrated Tax Accounting, Corporate Travel and Aviation.

This role will report directly to the Procure to Pay Executive and be responsible for leading the Supplier Enablement function. This operational role will be responsible for creating and maintaining a centralized supplier onboarding and enabling process and continually improve Supply Chain practices, reduce risk, simplify processes and create efficiencies. The team consists of a Supplier Enablement Operations team responsible for day-to-day supplier registration activities and Supplier Enablement program consultants responsible for various enablement and enhancement programs.

This role will manage day-to-day operations as well as direct programs to advance the function in alignment with the Supply Chain Management target state operating model. This leader will be responsible for implementing, and managing to, key performance and control metrics and drive operational improvements. It will develop an optimal global resource strategy to provide best in class service levels. This role will be a vital contributor to the design and implementation of Supplier Enablement target operating model, including supporting capabilities and technology.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop specialized teams of managers, supply chain professionals and individual contributors to execute supplier enablement activities
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to achieve operational objective and the Supplier Enablement target operating model
  • Lead Supplier Enablement team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues, to meet workflows and productivity, to ensure service level agreements for delivery and quality are met or exceeded
  • Define and implement appropriate policies, processes procedures and controls to optimize the operational environment in alignment with the companies Risk Management Framework
  • Collaborate with and influence executives to align business priorities and establish tactical and strategic business objectives
  • Integrate the Supplier Enablement function with Procure to Pay and Supply Chain Management target operating model
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Supplier Enablement
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8+ years of Supply Chain experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience of Supplier Enablement operations and supporting infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Procure to Pay and Supply Chain Management functions
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing operations strategy and delivery model
  • Strong experience in managing people, developing strong performing teams and mentoring / coaching people to become leaders
  • Exhibits strong relationship / negotiation orientation with senior level business partners globally
  • Excellent Communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, networking and relationship management skills
  • Strong client orientation and understanding of operational risk
  • Passion for quality and improving controls and operational performance
