Talent Acquisition Specialist Job at VCU Health System
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting and for the outcomes of the recruitment process to include: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending of staff to all business units within the enterprise. The Talent Acquisition Specialist assesses market trends, in conjunction with assigned areas, and assists in the development of recruitment strategies and retention programs as deemed appropriate for attracting the best applicants.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist assists in developing and implementing the recruitment media plan such as job fairs, internet websites, etc. This position ensures equitable employment practices and maintains compliance with VCUHS policies and practices and state/federal regulations.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Certified Recruiter within the first year of employment
Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources
Experience PREFERRED:
Two (2) years of healthcare recruiting, particularly in an academic medical center setting Two (2) years of experience using an automated applicant tracking system
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education/training PREFERRED:
Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
Independent action(s) required:
Works independently with little or no supervision or direction. Works with assigned Managers and Directors and collaborates with HR colleagues to develop strategies that meet the recruitment and retention needs of their assigned workload. Ensures legal compliance in all recruitment efforts. Develops, plans and participates in job fairs, to include creation of recruitment materials. Coordinates the hiring process with the HR Solutions Center Employment Specialists.
