The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of over 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) and Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians.

DCH is currently seeking one (1) qualified candidate for the Talent Management Coordinator in the Human Resources Office. The Talent Management Coordinator is responsible for working with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract, engage and retain top talent for the agency, This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote work, subject to the supervisor’s discretion. This position will also require up to 15% in-state travel.

Job Responsibilities

The key responsibilities require the Talent Management Coordinator to successfully perform the following:

  • Assists Talent Acquisition Specialist with agency recruitment calendar, recruitment events, and job fairs
  • Assists with the planning, organizing, and execution of employee engagement activities for the agency. Monitors engagement calendar, and ensures initiatives are carried out as planned, within scope, schedule, and approved budget. Routinely incorporates home-based employees into engagement activities
  • Serves as the lead regarding the development of the annual employee engagement calendar that supports the agency initiatives of Communication, Customer Service, Teamwork, and Accountability.
  • Serves as the SME resource in the administration of the performance management evaluation program. Provides guidance and assistance to employees, supervisors, and managers in creating and completing evaluations accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, in accordance with DCH policy and procedures.
  • Utilizes ATS to assist with sourcing resumes, submitting hire selection paperwork, and requisition maintenance.
  • Serves as point of contact for the OHR intranet pages. Ensures that the pages are updated timely and frequently requested information is added to the Employee Resource Page.
  • Assists with the monitoring of the candidate experience through employee feedback surveys or through 15-45-90 Onboarding surveys
  • Serves as the backup to the HR Administrative Assistant for breaks, meals, and absences. Back-up responsibilities include:Answer and resolve incoming phone calls

Respond to HRhelp inbox and phone calls within 48 hours

  • Performs Special Projects and other duties as assigned, including but not limited to onboarding duties

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university OR Two years of related experience.

AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates, who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:

  • Experience supporting Human Resources Office
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-demand office
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Possesses good judgment and must be a team player

Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.

May be filled at a higher or lower level depending on qualifications
