Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sales associates record each sale accurately, promptly and in accordance with Company policy and
  • Monitor sales associates and model Company cash handling procedures; ensure all funds are in the safe or register and cash drawer levels are maintained at or below the maximum allowed by Company policy .
  • Direct and perform all duties necessary to maintain a clean and attractive store; both inside and out, in accordance with Company policy and
  • Based on location, coach sales associates and personally prepare food & drinks, clean, stock and maintain food prep area in compliance with health codes.
  • Learn, comply and model behavior required by all Company policies and procedures, as well as, Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and
  • Support sales associates and answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise or services, as appropriate.
  • Learn Company selling guidelines and coach sales associates to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure shelves, counters, coolers and/or tables are fully and attractively stocked with merchandise in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Set up advertising or promotional displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
  • Accurately receive merchandise from vendors in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Act as primary point of contact for internal and external stake holders, including customers, regulatory officials and other team members in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager.
  • Complete all daily documentation and all other documentation requested by Company leadership.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Company leadership.

Experience and Education:

Required:

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar customer service environment;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university;
  • Previous supervisory experience;
  • Previous experience in a similar retail setting

  • Strong communication, relationship building and collaboration skills;
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor a hourly team members to deliver on results;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task to complete responsibilities.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, 4 feet high; and 20 pounds, 5 feet high, without the aid of another person.
  • Must be able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position;
  • Must be able to maintain balance and climb to a height of five feet on a ladder;
  • Must be able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position;
  • Must be able to work around various fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents;
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision under stressful conditions;
  • Must be able to use a desk top computer as well as mobile and desk phone to accomplish duties;
  • Must be able to read and understand English and complete moderately complex mathematics to complete required administrative tasks;
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid work cards and certifications required by Federal, State or local law including, but not limited to, Food Handler’s Safety Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Must be able to operate and use all equipment required by the operation;
  • Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
