About the position:

We are actively seeking a full-time, experienced consultant to provide consulting and implementation for software, hardware, and cloud services to association, nonprofit, and foundation clients. This is a great position for an IT professional seeking dynamic and challenging situations. This position requires self-discipline to work remotely and travel to client locations within the DC, MD, and VA metro area, where you will be expected to acclimate to various business environments and follow client schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Implementation and Configuration: Manage technical implementations/configurations of typical 501c infrastructure (new laptop setups, 365 migrations, Intune setups, SharePoint Online migrations, MFA setups, SSO setups, new firewall configurations and installations, office moves, network switch setups, wireless access point setups
  • Technical Escalation: Serve as a technical escalation point for other DelCor consultants, including Onsite/Focused Consultants, IT Service Desk Consultants, and sometimes for other Project Consultants and Cloud Services team members
  • Project Planning and Management: creating a project plan and task list, and managing project from leading the internal and stakeholders kickoff meetings, through performing various and typical project management duties over the lifecycle of the project including status updates, technical issue identification and resolution, and client satisfaction issue identification and resolution.

Technical Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of performing IT network/systems/cloud administration, management, and oversight
  • 7 years or more of progressive responsibility performing IT network/systems/cloud administration, management, and oversight can replace the Bachelor’s Degree requirement
  • Experience with legacy Active Directory environments including DFS environments
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and configuration
  • Experience with and ability to migrate email, files, and voice from legacy Windows file servers and cloud providers (DropBox, Box) to the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Experience with configuring and implementing MFA and SSO solutions
  • Experience and ability to configure and troubleshoot firewalls
  • Experience with and ability to configure and troubleshoot network switches
  • Experience with and ability to configure and troubleshoot wireless access points
  • Advanced understanding of how DNS works

Non-Technical Requirements:

Ability to manage numerous project-related tasks and prioritize said tasks to ensure client satisfaction and meet project management requirements and deadlines

  • Ability to commit to proactive communication, trending toward over communication
  • Ability to translate and explain technical issues and corresponding solution options to client stakeholders, in a non-technical way
  • Experience managing client expectations to help align decisions with the best solution
  • Willingness to collaborate with DelCor colleagues to seek assistance and input when presented with technical and non-technical challenges and a willingness to prioritize DelCor colleagues' requests for help over project related tasks, when necessary
  • Present a professional demeanor and positive outlook

Preferred experience:

  • Prior managed service provider (MSP) experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
