Seasonal Position - Academic Year. No nights or weekends. Fixed weekly schedule. Part-Time. School breaks and holidays off.
About the Role
Campus Attendants, or "CAs" help provide laundry service to busy university students across the US, by picking up and delivering bags of laundry on campus. CAs drive a Tide Cleaners truck to campus, where they greet and interact with students while accepting bags of laundry. They are responsible for scanning each bag into our tracker, delivering them to our cleaning facilities, and returning the bags to campus. CAs must ensure the accurate delivery of each bag to the correct student, while maintaining a positive attitude and keeping in constant communication with our operations team.
Responsibilities
- Drive a U-Haul sized company vehicle safely and responsibly to transport laundry
- Engage customers in a friendly manner during laundry drop off and pick up
- Use a scanner to track and take inventory of laundry bags
- Drive a UPS / U-Haul sized truck to transport laundry
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate clearly and consistently with management team
- Arrive on time and in uniform for all scheduled shifts
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (no special license required; training provided!)
- Ability to lift / carry bags weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Friendly, reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
- Courage to brave the elements
Additional Information
- A Drug screen and background check (including a motor vehicle report) are required for this position.
- Our MIT services include both a stationary truck location, where students will visit the truck to pick up their bag, as well as a delivery route, where bags will be dropped off at designated drop spots.
- The delivery route shift will be performed at nearby Tufts University
Start Date: Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. Mandatory (paid) training provided.
