Objective:

  • Develop training events, programs and courses. Implement new training programs, adjusts the current ones in a close cooperation with the line management to improve individual and organizational performance in safety, quality and productivity.
  • Lead employee training for all SMP employees to improve production process in key manufacturing principles that includes lean basics, hard and soft skills, maintain employee system qualification and skill matrixes tracking according to SMP departments training needs, performance or customer requirements.
  • Maintain and work with team leaders and supervisor to make sure the employee multi-skill system is in place, followed and updated.
  • Provide trainings to cover identified training needs through e-learning platform and training management system.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Education, Training, Engineering, or related field to the training subject or equivalent work experience and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficiency:

  • Strong Communication Skills-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • Intellectual Skills-Solid ability to understand and assess processes requests and needs and to identify pertinent information and create documents that present the relevant information clearly and succinctly.
  • Organizational Skills-Ability to meet demanding timelines and flexibility to accommodate the "unplanned".
  • Collaboration-Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues; Ability to influence and drive new ideas.

  • Proficiency with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques, including on-the-job training, mentoring and e-learning content and learning management systems.
  • Experience with training and development training methods and training evaluations process.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Proficient with the use of a computer and productivity software including all aspects of Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple activities.
  • Expertise in production processes (Injection Molding, Paint shop, Exterior and interior assembly).
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Authoring Technologies- knowledge of authoring technologies like Adobe Captivate, design tools, and multimedia applications.

Main Duties:

  • Design, plan, organize, and conduct direct orientation and training programs for new temporary and SMP employees and track on the job training for new hires.
  • Identify and assess training needs and training gaps in the organization through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, areas KPI’s performance and/or in close cooperation with directors, managers, or supervisors.
  • Design, develop and conduct training programs, methods and e-learning content (when required) to improve safety, quality and productivity performance in SMP.
  • Select, develop and execute appropriate training methods or activities using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as presentations, role playing, simulations, team exercises, and group discussions, videos, mentoring, on-the job trainings, lectures or e-learning courses.
  • Create training plans, Schedule and perform trainings to all SMP employees and provide necessary information about training sessions: plans, materials, handouts, evaluations, evaluation results and attendance records.
  • Audit, track and evaluate training needs based on the current status of the qualification matrixes on the production areas.
  • Create training Plans and schedule trainings with line leaders on the production areas to assure the certification and annual recertification of the skill matrix for all employees in the production areas to get minimum level 3 (includes logistics).
  • Work with team leaders and supervisors to keep updated the skill matrix and follow the multi-skills process in compliance with the SMP Quality System, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 Audits.
  • Work directly with team leaders and supervisors to introduce and track according to the multi-skills procedure, the new hires in the multi-skills system and qualification matrix.
  • Offer and manage specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills for new hires as well as veteran employees.
  • Evaluate to what degree participants apply what they learned during training when they are back on the job in their skills and employee performance.
  • Maintain all training records and training plans updated. Document all performed trainings with all corporate and internal forms.
  • Track and update on time, training KPIs and schedules (Training hour/ Employee, ratio of positive feedback, number of offered vs retrieved vs attended trainings), Keep training plan, attendance and training schedule up to date.
  • Schedule own trainings and other department trainings based on availability of classrooms, equipment, or instructors.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment per shift.
  • Modify existing programs in the training center and develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Coordinate activities for external or internal trainings.
  • Train in different shifts to cover the same level of skills and mentoring process in different productive areas.
  • Design and develop e-learning course for general, safety, core tools and core process skills for the SMP departments according to the training needs.
  • Be an author and training provider in the SMP e-learning platform and training management system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
