Overview:
Summary: The Training Manager is responsible for leading the training initiatives for the entire organization to ensure exceptional training experiencing for new employees. Responsible for maintaining, updating and offering solutions to constantly evolve our training curriculum and delivery. This position also assists with creating new training content for classroom and clinical training and coordinates various training activities.
Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversees training support personnel to include development and training, approving hours, performance reviews and evaluating future personnel needs for the training department
  • Assists in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of training materials such as, but not limited to, student guides/workbooks, web based learning, exam and testing material, continuing education and quality assurance.
  • Reports class trends and learning deficiencies subsequent to delivery as observed during training. Contributes to discussions on trends and potential opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training delivery.
  • Strategically evaluates training programs to present opportunities and execute initiatives that improve content, delivery of training curriculum for the organization as a whole.
  • Prepares for course delivery by mastering training content, including reviewing instructor notes and course materials. Understands the design of the training materials, goals of the business, and learning needs of the assigned facility in order to deliver training effectively. Understands and utilizes adult learning principles and best practices in training delivery.
  • Delivers interactive, engaging learner-focused instruction for the employees in both virtual and live training environments. Encourages and enhances participation, facilitates discussion, and keeps learners focused by managing timing and pace.
  • Documents the effectiveness of learning and development during each segment of the course. Ensures consistent delivery of the training as intended and addresses opportunities for improvement. Assesses the delivery experience and makes recommendations on best practices in course design, as appropriate, to the training team. Provides feedback on the delivery of pilot learning programs as needed.
  • Logistical arrangements and physical arrangement of the instructional site, materials, equipment and any other requirements as necessary in both the virtual and classroom environment.
  • Ensures all training material and resources are uploaded in the Learning Management System.
  • Manages virtual training account and calendar to ensure no overlap in scheduled training sessions.
  • Assists with training new trainers to effectively teach classroom curriculum.
  • Hosts Continued Education webinars upon request for both ED and outpatient scribes.
  • Participates in clinical/onsite training for new employees as necessary for existing and/or new accounts; ensure new employees successfully complete and progress clinical training guidelines for each training day.
  • Travel may be required; dependent on business need
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: High school diploma required. Bachelor degree in Biology or health related field preferred. Minimum six months Medical Scribe or healthcare experience preferred. Must possess advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and medical documentation. Comfortable speaking in public, ability to multitask and apply adult learning principles.

Technical/Computer Skills:
Skill in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); must be able to type 35 WPM and master handheld personal device communications.
