We are seeking Training Specialists for our Harbour View Blvd/Suffolk, VA location

Responsibilities and Duties for Training Specialist:

Must exhibit knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
Knowledge and experience in computer processing
Must possess knowledge of and compliance with federal, state and local regulations for employment law
Guidance for new hires primarily for the first 3 months of employment
Knowledge of benefit administration compliance
Conducting new hire orientation
Knowledge of training requirements under DBHDS
Utilizing HRIS to assist new hires
Explaining agency policy compliance and procedures

Qualifications and Skills for Training Specialist:

Associates Degree in Human Resources or business related field, or combination of education, training and work experience that provides the equivalent
A minimum of one year of Human Resources work experience
Experience training and conducting new hire orientation preferred
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record
Experience in using various computer software applications and/or Human Resources information Systems (HRIS) preferred
