POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The primary purpose of the Treasury Analyst is to support the Treasury team in portfolio management, balance sheet management, and market risk analysis. This position will participate in detailed analyses of loan and deposit products, fixed income investment securities, wholesale funding and hedging strategies. This position directly supports the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Investment Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years’ experience in quantitative/financial analysis is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required. Tableau and\or Microsoft Power BI experience preferred.
  • Understanding of debt and financial markets preferred.
  • Experience using Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters Eikon, Tradeweb or comparable system preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue advanced professional designations such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analysis of applicable markets (mortgage, interest rate, swap, fixed income, etc.)
  • Assist with operational tasks such as trade settlement, collateral maintenance, and portfolio accounting.
  • Compiling and analyzing data to provide reporting and trending of key performance indicators to management, providing insights and identifying data inconsistencies for investigation.
  • Preparing and compiling committee reports and analyses for the Executive Management Asset Liability Committee.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
  • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
  • Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely with management.
  • Strong detail orientation and demonstrated ability to use own initiative in problem solving with a sense of urgency and closure.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
  • Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
  • Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
