Job Summary: Provides indirect patient care in the medical surgical setting. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS certification, preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of an approved Medical Terminology course or equivalent health care experience or training, preferred. Previous unit secretary experience preferred.
