Warehouse Associate for HVAC Wholesaler Job at Austin Staffing, Inc.
Summary:
Austin Staffing, Inc. is hiring for a long-term Warehouse employee for our client's South warehouse! This Temp to Hire opportunity will include working in an organized warehouse and will eventually make deliveries to customers while driving a 24ft. flatbed truck. This is an Immediate Hiring need!
We are seeking a customer service-oriented professional with an excellent work ethic! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse setting and have prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, packing, and other distribution center/warehouse equipment.
Applicant's skill set should also include:
Ability to operate a computer
Receiving and shipping experience (ability to lift 50lbs)
Driving a box truck or flatbed truck (good driving record required)
Applicants must be very dependable, prompt, and have a high level of customer service skills with a "can-do" attitude.
Upon accepting a job offer; a drug screen, driving report, and criminal background check will be conducted. Applicants must also supply past employment verification information and show proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
This is a first shift position with standard hours of Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm (40 hours per week). Some Saturday mornings may be required. Any hours worked beyond 40 will be paid at time and a half OT wages.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load/unload/stage shipments and deliveries for residential/commercial clients.
- Package finished products for shipping including but not limited to shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
- Communicate with the warehouse manager and operations manager to ensure daily tasks are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in inventory and quality control measures and complete all necessary paperwork/documentation per company standards.
- Attendance and punctuality are extremely important and will be a measure of moving from a temporary to permanent status.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, clean, casual warehouse environment.
