Summary: Working under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager, following specific procedures, performs a variety of duties to accomplish the shipment of all finished goods and the receipt of all purchased materials.


Essential Duties and
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Liaison between DC and customer service
  • Monitor emails for hots and Will Call orders, ensure truck lines are correct when in question, correct orders on hold or entered incorrectly
  • Liaison between DC and carriers
  • Respond to emails correcting issues with loads, call and schedule pickups, call and retain quotes for prepaid add orders
  • Liaison between DC and Brownsville
  • Communicate with Brownsville DC with transfer issues, orders requiring special attention, and send weekly order form for supplies
  • Print Picking Tickets/designate PRO#’s for orders to be pulled for customers
  • Call in freight to be pickup everyday
  • Provide directions to truck drivers
  • Pull/Process/Assist with UPS/FedEx/ Parcel as needed
  • Complete Quality Notifications for transfers with errors
  • Complete root cause assessments for shipping errors to customers
  • Assist with Quarterly Cycle Counts
  • Warehouse supply ordering
  • File Daily Paperwork
  • Inventory and prepare order for Office Supplies
  • Direct drivers to the correct docks for loading/unloading
  • Greet will call customers, verify orders and issue goods
  • Greet visitors and ensure proper PPE are worn if entering the warehouse
  • Participate in Daily Safety practices
  • Comply with all Employee Conduct and Work Rules
  • Comply with all Company policies
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
