Chatham Place at Mary Wade is hiring a Weekend Receptionist*
Schedule: Part-Time:*

• 8hrs/wk: Every Other Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 4pm
• 16hrs/wk: Every Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 4pm

Hourly Rate: $15.00 to $16.00 (Based on Experience)
Chatham Place is the Assisted Living / Memory Care Community that is part of Mary Wade.

The community includes 84 units, a combination of one bedroom and studio apartments. 20 units are Memory Care and the rest are traditional Assisted Living. We have a bistro, a salon/spa, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace!

Responsibilities:

• Ability to be sensitive to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting and perform repetitive tasks.
• Monitor and interact residents on a daily basis passing throught or sittling in the lobby area
• Responsible for receiving, directing incoming calls, taking messages and ensuring that messages are given to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
• Greets visitors and contractors to Chatham Place and assuring they are signed in appropriately.
• Notifies RN Salsa or RN Designee when a resident is admitted or returns from the hospital.
• Complies with and promotes all rules regarding resident, employee and facility rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Receives and sorts and distributes as appropriate, all incoming mail making sure outgoing mail is taken by the mail carrier.
• Types correspondence and documents as assigned by Executive Director.
• Maintains photo album of all current residents and clients of the Home at the front desk; i.e., removes discharges and inserts new admissions.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Genuine interest and passion for working with the elderly population
• Prior experience as a Receptionist, C.N.A. or PCA or in a related field and working with MS Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Prior experience working in senior care living preferred
• Comfortable interacting with residents with Dementia
