- Days: M-F 0500-1530
- Swing: M-Thu 1530-0200 (4 10s) + 10% premium
As a Welder II your responsibilities will include:
- Weld, in position and out of position, using the GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW process, all metal components and equipment. Set up components and equipment to be welded.
- Maintain a high level of weld quality by following QC Standards/Policies.
- Adjust amperage, current, and gas flow according to the material being welded.
- Work at heights using ladders, manlift, etc.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Value and support the company’s safety rules, regulations, and culture.
- TOOL LIST: Steel-toed boots, 6” minimum, Welding hood, Welding gloves, Striker, Tri square, Soapstone or scribe, chipping hammer or file - MINIMUM: Hood, boots, and gloves.
- Intermediate-level concept of the GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
- Ability to adjust amperage, current, and gas flow according to the material being welded.
- Ability to weld metal components/equipment in position, as well as out of position, according to blueprint specifications, and Fitter layout, with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate-level concept of oxy/acetylene and plasma cutting process.
- Skill to prep parts, drill holes, deburr parts, and use the plate shear and Ironworker (additional training will be provided).
- Must understand AWS welding symbols to meet quality expectations.
