Wellness Director and Instructor Job at Concordia College
Housed in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Exercise Science, which is part of a growing Sanford Heimarck School of Health Professions, the Wellness curriculum is a component of Concordia College’s Core Curriculum. As a Core component, all Concordia College students must complete the Wellness curriculum in order to graduate. With attention given to the seven dimensions of wellness, the Wellness curriculum is designed to empower every Concordia student with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for holistic wellness and growth as whole individuals.
This full-time position includes the development of the Wellness curriculum, which is slated to be implemented in the fall 2023 semester. In addition, the successful candidate will serve as the Director of Wellness, which will involve extensive and continuous collaboration with faculty and staff across campus, and will teach several sections of the Wellness curriculum. As a faculty member, the successful candidate will also engage in service to the Department, College, and community.
Concordia faculty enjoy professional development opportunities on campus and within their own discipline or field of study. Concordia College offers numerous perks to employees, including a generous tuition benefit for spouses and dependents based on years of employment, and all employees have free access to campus wellness facilities.
