The Quality Abstraction Director Manager manages the entirety of the quality abstraction team. The span of control for this role includes maintain a high functioning and efficient team, while ensuring that data abstraction submission is accurate and timely. These efforts support ongoing quality initiatives and are an essential part of providing safe and evidence-based care to our patients, as well as meeting the requirements of regulatory and accrediting entities.

• Responsible for ensuring that all data elements from the patient electronic medical records are correctly abstracted, that the elements align with guidelines, and that data entry is performed.
• Ensures data completeness, accuracy, and timelessness. All data entry deadlines must be met. Ensures all team members always maintain information system security and patient confidentiality.
• Maintains communication with Corporate Quality Director to resolve documentation process issues/discrepancies, and drive improvement in local processes as needed.
• Provides real time and regulatory scheduled feedback and performance improvement guidance to all leadership roles within the team.

Preferred:

• Experience with medical records data entry and/or review
• Experience with quality control/assurance

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years in college

Preferred:

• Healthcare experience, quality improvement
• Graduate degree
