The Role:

The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) seeks an Academic Support Program Manager. The Manager will oversee the Academic Support classroom during the school day. In this classroom setting, students are paired with Cambridge School Volunteers. The Academic Support Program Manager will work closely with and facilitate communication between the volunteer tutors, Cambridge School Volunteers staff, and teachers. The Manager also will introduce students and tutors, will monitor their work, and will maintain all classroom paperwork, including attendance, grades, and tutoring documents for each student.


The Academic Support Program Manager also will provide direct tutoring support to students during the school day in this Academic Support class, and before school each day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and after school each school day from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.


This is a 40 hour per week, 10 month position.


The Academic Support Program Manager also will:

  • Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect and safety.
  • Communicate learning goals and high standards and expectations to all students, striving to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Cambridge School Volunteers, CRLS teachers, guidance and support staff, administrators, and school volunteers.
  • Demonstrate appreciation for and sensitivity to, the diversity among individuals.
  • Share in the responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of the discipline, department program, school and district.
  • Meet professional obligations with respect to punctuality, attendance and routine duties.

Your Skill Set:
As the incoming Academic Support Program Manager, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:

  • Associates degree required; bachelor degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in teaching.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with a diverse population of students.
  • Commitment to implementing district standards and CRLS student learning expectations.
  • Successful experience working with and collaborating with colleagues, caregivers, and other service providers.

Cambridge Public Schools is committed to slowing and/or stopping the spread of COVID-19. Salary:
