THE POSITION

Are you interested in caring for Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens? Ebensburg Center is seeking full-time Aide Trainees.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will attend formal classroom training sessions and receive on-the-job training assignments to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to assist nursing staff in the direct and daily care of individuals. Training is achieved through formal classroom instruction, computer-based training, reading assignments, and behavioral observation of individuals. You will receive on-the-job training in nonprofessional direct care methods, techniques, and procedures. As knowledge and skills are acquired further developmental assignments are given in actual work situations. Training and work assignments are performed under the close supervision and review of higher-level staff.

  • May have multiple vacancies on each shift below:
    • 1st shift (7:00AM to 3:30PM)
    • 2nd shift (2:45PM to 11:15PM)
    • 3rd shift (11:00PM to 7:00AM)
  • Work hours during training: 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Rotating schedule: 7 days on, 2 days off; 8 days on, 4 days off.
  • Travel: As needed
  • Overtime: Is required
  • Shift work: No
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

In compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, if you are selected for this position, you must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, unless you are exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination due to an ADA or religious accommodation. If you fail or refuse to show the required verification at the time of hire, and you have not received an exemption from the CMS vaccination requirements, your employment will be terminated.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • No previous experience needed, training provided.

  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
