JOB SUMMARY

Provide a variety of professional maintenance services for company owned and guest owned aircraft, equipment, buildings, and vehicles for the Lakeland Aviation FBO to ensure proper compliance with the FAA with the highest level of safety standards and professionalism that will drive repeated business and service to and from our guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide excellent guest service to assure that all guests leave satisfied and will have confidence using the Lakeland Aviation services.

-Organize, prepare, and execute all paperwork related to services such as work orders, invoices, and bill codings for third party services such as parts, tools, and equipment.

-Keep diligent inventory records for various parts and other materials related to the various aircraft, equipment, and other vehicles within the FBO to ensure expense control is managed at the correct level. This includes but is not limited to organized and detailed shipping, receiving, ordering, and storage of materials and products.

-Keep accurate records of scheduled maintenance activities and needs for company owned and guest owned materials to ensure a smooth work schedule and planning process for current and future jobs.

-Partner with officials such as the FAA to ensure proper safety measures are taken, followed, and practiced to ensure the highest level of compliance and safety is executed in aircraft maintenance.

-Assist with building and equipment maintenance needs such as hangar door adjustments and fuel truck maintenance and care.

-Operate the tug vehicle to safely move aircraft around the facility and grounds for maintenance needs and flight preparations and inspections.

-Perform fixes, installations, and maintenance tasks on various aircraft using the tools and equipment provided within the shop.

-Work safely in all aspects of the job including following proper FAA safety guidelines, documentation, and adorning proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, eye protection, etc.

-Travel to various other FBO’s and airports within the area to perform maintenance tasks on various aircraft off-site per guest needs and requests.

-Assist with maintaining the various motor vehicles stationed at the FBO that are used as car rentals, company use, or other business purposes. This includes sourcing and purchasing new vehicles at times.

-Assist with refueling airplanes efficiently and safely.

-Perform various cleaning duties within the maintenance shops, the hangars, the aircraft, equipment, vehicles, and the grounds as needed to keep a professional, inviting, and safe environment at all times.

-Other duties may be performed upon assignment by the company or Lakeland Aviation’s Manager in order to continue to operate efficiently and safely with the guest experience in mind at all times.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

-CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

Must hold a valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) mechanical license in order to work on and maintain the external (Airframe) and engine (Power Plant) parts of aircraft. Must have or be willing to obtain Inspection Authority (I.A.) credentials so that annual inspections can be performed in accordance with the FAA requirements.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Speak English fluently.

-REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to apply safety thought processes around traffic and mechanical operations. Safety of ones self and all guests and flight crews and any and all aircraft and property of all who frequent ARV. Always take time to use proper equipment and safety processes.

-WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment can be quite noisy at times. Hearing protection is provided. The noise level is usually very short term periods. Involving both inside and outside periods while fueling airplanes and or moving them in and out of hangars. Conditions can range from hot to very cold and windy.
