SUMMARY Assemble a variety of sub-assemblies and bench or floor erection to complete unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ability to handle light and average weight parts.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to select assembly method and erection procedure.
- Ability to accurately align sub-assemblies to unit.
- Ability to mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to assemble a variety of products.
- Ability to fit parts to close tolerances.
- Ability to pack parts/equipment.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must understand Kanban
- Use Kanban cards to reorder parts
- Ability to listen and learn from instructions, cooperate and participate in the department's training program
- Ability to climb step ladder
- Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities
- Ability to participate in 6S
- English Comprehension
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Physical Awareness: Ability to work in an environment with active fork trucks.
- Ability to lift arms/hands over one’s head
- Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp and assemble objects.
- Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Near Vision: The ability to see details (and colors) at close range
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to move up to 2,000 lbs of equipment using pallet jacks, dollies, and overhead cranes.
- Ability to assemble objects in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
- Ability to follow standardized processes.
- Ability to work safely
