Assertive Community Engagement is designed to engage persons with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness whose needs are not met by traditional outpatient services. The Forensic Monitor acts as a liaison between the individual, the court, and the community, for individuals who have been found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity and ensures they’re maintaining compliance with all conditions of their conditional release.

ACE & Forensics Coordinator Job Duties:

• Provides clinical supervision to team members
• Leads daily team and treatment planning meetings to review progress on cases to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment
• Directs day to day clinical operations of the ACE Team
• Provides individual treatment for clients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness.
• Work closely with counselors, case managers, nursing, and psychiatry staff as part of ongoing treatment teams to provide support to clients.
• The Forensic Monitor acts as a liaison between the individual, the court, the community, and other systems of care throughout the community
• The Monitor maintains and tracks data regarding NGRI individuals, cases pending in court, and client’s residing at NBH
• The Monitor writes court reports and attends regular court hearings

ACE & Forensic Coordinator Educational Requirements:

• LISW, LISW-S
• LPCC, LPCC-S

ACE & Forensic Coordinator Required Experience:

• Experience working with clients who are at risk (preferred)
