Audio Video Engineer Job at Tulsa Tech
Oversee the purchase, technical operations and maintenance of all audio-visual systems supported by the Information Technology Services Department – including classrooms, event spaces and conference rooms.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the exploration, research, purchase, inventory, installation and integration of AV equipment and services for the District.
- Serve as Project Coordinator for all audio video projects in the District.
- Coordinate, design, install, setup, and operate AV presentation systems, video conferencing technology, and other audio-visual equipment in classrooms, conference rooms, and other spaces.
- Configure and maintain audio-video software and hardware.
- Provide end user guidance and training for audio-visual components and systems.
- Create, maintain, and communicate procedures for critical processes surrounding audio visual equipment.
- Work with vendors on special projects and to troubleshoot audio-video system issues.
- Research emerging technologies and trends, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations to drive innovation.
- Serve as Technical lead for all large scale/high value events to ensure that the AV needs are met and the appropriate staff is assigned to the event.
- Maintain a refresh schedule of audio-visual equipment for the District and determine a replacement timeline when required.
- Maintain a schedule of maintenance tasks, conduct maintenance, and document all work performed.
- Provide Tier 3, support for onsite technicians in the event they are unable to resolve issues.
- Review purchasing invoices to ensure equipment was received.
- Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
