• Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
• Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.
• Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.

• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours of refresher training annually.
• Subject to the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a medical examination.
• Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Work is performed without close supervision.
• Responsible for overall operation of the bar.
• Accountable for receipts and inventory.
• Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Stands for prolonged periods.

• Must meet state/local age requirements (21) for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
• Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
• Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
• Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.
• Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change.
• Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action.
• Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory.
