Job Summary
The Business Development Analyst will directly support the company’s growth strategy with a focus in the ambulatory surgery center market. From the early stages of data acquisition to the late stages of contract start-up, the analyst will support internal and external client interactions pertaining to the creation and presentation of new client proposals. Reporting to the Director of Business Development Operations, this role assists the Business Development team in acquiring new client business by developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients, including budgeting and pricing development. The analyst will also be responsible for presenting the pro formas underlying each proposal to the NorthStar senior executive team on a regular basis as part of an internal review and approval process to ensure all new business is consistent with the company’s disciplined growth strategy.

What you will do in this role
  • The Business Development Analyst’s primary responsibility will be financial pro forma preparation, and the role also requires sales operations support.
  • Support Director of BD Operations in pro forma preparation.
  • Data review and analysis.
  • Coordination with revenue cycle leadership to determine appropriate payor rates.
  • Revenue/unit calculation.
  • Provider compensation market research.
  • Staffing strategies.
  • Support the broader Business Development team operations.
  • OR Utilization report generation for prospective clients
  • Specialized strategic analysis as needed through Definitive, Salesforce, and historical data.
  • Maintenance of a historical log of all proposals and data.
  • Deck preparation for client meetings.
  • Collateral updates as needed.
What qualifications you will need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • 1-2 years of healthcare industry experience preferred
