Now searching foran experienced CNC programmer & machinist looking for a long-term home, on 1st shift!

We have a job opening for a skilled CNC lathe machinist with complete programming and setup knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand complex blueprints
• Operate manual and CNC grinders, band saws, mills, ect...
• Program and operate conversational CNC lathes, daily
• Comfortable holding tolerances too +/- .001 or less, on a daily basis
• Enjoy working at a fast pace in a mostly one off, job shop environment.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments and strong mathematical skills
• Check your work using proper metrology methods
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in job shop machining environment
• Familiarity with mills, lathes, grinders and other machine tools and equipment
• Fluent in programming conversational CNC
• Complete understanding of proper setup and fixturing methods
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow direction
• Own the correct tools for both machining and measuring the job given (perishables provided)

Extra credit for:

• Stable work history
• Ability to run more than one machine, simultaneously
• Journeyman's card or comparable experience
• CAD/CAM/CMM skills and other computer related experience

*Salary range is based on total compensation package; this is an hourly position.
