Customer Service Representative

Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES) is the nation’s largest supplier of personal protective equipment, law enforcement products, and services to the first responder market. We are looking for a friendly, customer-oriented service representative to join our growing team in this full-time role.

What you'll do:

As a customer service representative (CSR) you will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, and resolve any emerging problems with accuracy and efficiency that our outside sales reps, suppliers, and distribution team might face. You will also assist in shipping local orders, so you must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Problem-solving comes naturally to you, as well as time management and organization skills. You are detail-oriented and can adapt quickly to changing priorities. You're confident in your ability to interact with "challenging" customers with diplomacy and tact and continuously demonstrate integrity and ethical standards.

You will be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (excludes THC) and background check. "Bonus points" if you have at least 1 year military, fire or police experience in a volunteer or paid capacity and/or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.

We provide equipment for Firefighting, Law Enforcement, Hazmat, Confined Space, Urban Search and Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to Municipal, Volunteer and Federal government sectors. MES is built on three distinct business platforms giving first responders the opportunity to fulfill their equipment needs through our 290+ strong first responder focused sales and service team, an extensive online store or through our Federal Government division which caters to the specific needs of military and federal agency first responders.

What we offer:

Hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm. No nights, weekends, or holidays.
