Summary

Harwood International is looking to hire a Director of Sales and Marketing. This individual is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing all sales objectives needed to develop a profitable and successful operation of Harwood District’s hotel, Hôtel Swexan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct the overall sales efforts of the hotel as they relate to room, guest experience, food and beverage by providing conceptual and strategic thinking and planning
  • Implement the department's annual budget and sales programs for the hotel to maximize rate, occupancy and food & beverage opportunities
  • Collaborate with Harwood Hospitality’s Executive Director of Marketing to keep all collateral up to date, monitors social media feeds and feedback
  • Responsible for securing sales and reaching out to high profile clients, and negotiations
  • Solicitation of accounts to add new business for the Hotel, as well as maintenance of existing accounts
  • Timely input of information relative to all accounts into database system with proper follow up and tracing responsibilities
  • Maintaining memberships in organizations as assigned as well as on going participation in such organizations
  • Research and forecast market trends and identify new opportunities to promote the Hotel brand
  • Achieve annual hotel revenue goals as agreed upon and established in the annual budget
  • Display agility in balancing short-notice requests with longer-term projects while under stringent deadlines
  • Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department as required
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Keep abreast of all trends in the industry and educates team
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Director of Sales in a luxury branded hotel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Business Management
  • Proven track record growing revenues through the management of marketing and sales operations, processes, and teams
  • Strong communications, excellent written and oral communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Experience in luxury brands, hospitality, commercial real estate, residential real estate industries preferred.
  • Real Estate Industry / Hospitality industry experience.
