Full Job Description: Distiller Apprentice
Blue Rascal Distillery is seeking immediate part time help as an apprentice to our head distiller. Job duties include: general production help, bottling spirits, maintenance and cleaning of equipment, tasting room, bottling line, and barrel storage. Blue Rascal Distillery is located in Hammonton NJ. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, is comfortable standing on their feet, lifting at least 50 pounds, and can move at a brisk pace.
The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a consistent schedule, learn all aspects of distilling. From sourcing ingredients to fermenting to distilling. Bottling and packaging. Familiarity with production of food and beverages a plus. This is an entry level position but there is potential to learn more aspects of production if the candidate is interested and capable.
Daily workflow:
Work with head distiller and follow recipes.
Load & unload oversee daily mashes, fermentations, and distillations.
Pump liquids.
Bottle spirits
Maintain detailed daily records.
Perform detailed cleaning of equipment and facility.
Maintain an orderly work area.
Perform maintenance on equipment.
Unload, load and fill barrels.
Conduct work in a safe, efficient manner.
Analyze spirits coming off the still.
Fill and empty barrels.
Manage inventory, follow PO Protocol Gauging of Spirits.
Conduct Lab Analysis
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hammonton, NJ 08037: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Brewing: 1 year (Preferred)
