Summary:

The Fire Sprinkler Apprentice at CFS will build their skillsets in the installation, service and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems for customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

(May perform additional duties of similar complexity within Certified Fire and Security as required or assigned.)

· Layout and install fire protection systems

· Select pipe sizes and materials

· Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading

· Layout drawings of full-scale piping systems and cut and bore holes in pipes, according to blueprints and specifications

· Modify current sprinkler systems

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Licensing: Valid Driver License

Skills: Excellent two-way communication skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs

Must be able to effectively operate a smart phone device

Ability to work as a team or independently

Other: Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle records check

Successful participation and completion of random drug screenings

Physical Requirements:

· Lifting 50+ lbs.

· Work on ladders and elevated surfaces

· Work in small spaces

· Work in a fast-paced, construction environment

Salary Range:

$18-$24/hour DOE
