Major responsibilities include case management and permanency planning for children and families involved with the foster care system. Involves development and implementation of service plans as well as coordinating referrals to community resources. Use a team approach to determine the progress of the youth and evaluate effectiveness of the interventions/services and plans. Promote permanency planning for children through hands-on casework and active involvement with birth parents, foster parents, relatives, and adoptive families. May include comprehensive assessment of relatives, foster parents and/or adoptive families. Provides support, assistance, and consultation to the families. Advocates and coordinates services with additional resources in the community.

Computer skills required for case record documentation and MiSACWIS data entry. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, a flexible schedule, and strong time management and organizational skills.

We are expanding our program and are looking to hire additional staff members. Our office has recently relocated to the Flint area, although we work closely with several of the surrounding counties including Lapeer, Tuscola, Sanilac, Huron, St. Clair, Ingham, Oakland, Macomb, Shiawassee, Clinton, Gratiot, etc... We offer a flexible schedule and relaxed work environment with "mobile" work station options.

Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a human service field.
