Bilingual Front Desk Agent

The Bilingual Medical Front Desk Agent is primarily responsible for scheduling appointments for new and existing patients through inbound and outbound calls, gathering and evaluating patient needs, authorizing insurance benefits, and coordinating referrals. This individual actively contributes to a shared goal model within and across ABQ Healthcare 2 You to achieve coordinated, high-quality patient- and family-centered care.

$12.50 hourly

• Schedule patient appointments for consultations, treatments, and follow-up visits.
• Provide accurate, detailed information to patients regarding the time of the patient's scheduled arrival and any other directional information needed; take appropriate action in responding to questions from patients.
• Confirm the patient’s insurance provider and either obtain prior authorization or communicate the need for prior authorization to appropriate parties as needed.
• Ensure patient information, appointment history, referrals, lab follow-up, phone calls, and consultations are accurately and completely documented in the EMR system.
• Assist clinic providers with patient education; interpret language barriers as needed.
• Maintain patience and professionalism.
• Support front office activities (i.e., check-in/out)

• Experience with NextGen EMR system preferred but not required. We will offer training.
• Able to handle multiple activities or interruptions and work independently in a customer-facing environment.
• Able to maintain attendance to support the required quality and quantity of work.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to treat patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
• Demonstrated experience providing superior customer service with a high level of effectiveness.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Must speak Spanish.
