The Full Stack Software Engineer II designs, builds and deploys solutions and enhancements to existing systems with existing example solutions but limited detailed requirements. Additionally, this position maintains updated troubleshooting and equipment-related documentation and support escalations from the Product Operations Team. The Software Engineer II also reviews the quality of work of Software Engineer I associates and provides mentoring and training and serves as an escalation point of contact.

What you will do to contribute to the company's success

Set forth below is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities (or "essential functions") of this position.

  • Analyzes and develops systems and technology-based OSS/BSS solutions to meet user needs including applications, databases and related systems.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots systems such as applications (custom and 3rd party), reports and/or database logic.
  • Completes advanced report design and creation.
  • Manages and troubleshoots all support tickets escalated by the Product Operations Team or Product Software Engineer I.
  • Provides escalation monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other organizations within the company.
  • Examines, evaluates, troubleshoots, applications deployed to Windows or Unix servers to include Log analysis.
  • Troubleshoots application and interface communications over an IP network.
  • Analyzes project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects.
  • Works as part of a project team to coordinate software environments and determine project scope and limitations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training in application development programming languages such as .NET or Java; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with the following

  • 2 years experience: Large scale integrated multi system environments.
  • Acting as a full stack developer.
  • Building and supporting enterprise web services.
  • Experience developing in .NET, SQL Server, Java, or Mongo.
  • Strong background in object-oriented and service software design principles.
  • Experience working in Agile development utilizing Scrum.

Required Certificates, licenses, registrations

  • Intermediate certification in Database technologies such as SQLServer, Oracle, or Mongo.
  • Intermediate certification in Programming Languages such as .Net, Java, Python, or Angular.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Intermediate certification in Operating Systems such as Windows or Unix.
  • Intermediate certification in Application server technologies such as IIS, JBOSS, or OpenShift, Weblogic, Mulesoft.
  • Certifications in specific Cable Service Provider back office and network systems.
