Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking a GN&C Engineer to support our Commercial Space Programs division in performing orbital trajectory design, analysis, and optimization, as well as, building a 6 Degree-of-Freedom (6DOF) spacecraft simulation environment for design, analysis, and testing of GN&C Flight Software (FSW).

What You'll Get to Do:

• Assist in developing the GN&C subsystem including Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) components and models as well as models

for the plant dynamical equations of motion

• Perform GN&C FSW controls stability and performance analysis, Monte Carlo simulation-based statistical analysis, and Hardware-

in-the-Loop (HIL) verification and validation testing

What You'll Need:

Required Skills:

• B.S. in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience
• Developing spacecraft GN&C systems for space vehicles
• Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
• MATLAB and Simulink
• Computer programming in languages such as C, C++, or Python

Preferred Skills:

• ME/MS in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Developing spacecraft guidance algorithms
• Analyzing low earth orbit trajectories
• Developing control algorithms, stability analysis, and thruster-select logic
• Kalman filtering and state estimation
• Algorithm development and testing
• GN&C hardware including IMU, RWA, GPS, Star Trackers, etc.
• SWIL and HWIL V&V testing
• Experience with orbital dynamics modeling in tools such as STK, FreeFlyer, or GMAT
