Position Details:

• Full-time Hospice Admission RN position
• Schedule Option #1: 3 - 12 hour shifts starting at 9a or 10a on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
• Schedule Option #2: 4 - 10 hour shifts starting a 11a or 12p on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• North Central Indiana Counties: Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Boone, Clinton, Tipton, Howard and surrounding communities.

Job Functions:

• Performs physical and psychosocial assessment on all hospice patients.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
• Responds to the physical, mental, social and emotional needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
• Assesses patient’s condition, initiates plan of care, re-evaluates and updates as necessary.
• Obtains all necessary physician orders and collaborates with physician as patient’s needs dictate.
• Initiates case conferences to discuss multidisciplinary team responsibilities, pain management, bereavement counseling, etc.

Experience:

• One year Hospice preferred, but not necessary
• 1 year of RN experience required

Credentials:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in State of Indiana
• Proof of current classroom CPR certification
• Hepatitis profile and TB vaccination record
• Current driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
