Shift / Hours: M-F 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm

Must-Haves:

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Customer service experience within the healthcare industry (hospital or doctors office)
  • Previous HR experience and knowledge of applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred), Lawson and Onbase is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of billing and processing invoices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)
  • COVID Vaccinated
  • Flu Shot

Day-to-Day:

A specialty orthopedic hospital in New York City is looking to add sharp, driven, and experienced HR Assistant to their team. This individual will provide comprehensive administrative support to their world-class Human Resources team. In this highly visible role, you will provide outstanding customer service to employees, vendors and applicants by welcoming, assisting, and triaging a variety of customers to the appropriate HR representative. You will also assist in the screening, hiring and on-boarding of job candidates. Duties will include handling highly confidential/sensitive information in a professional and respectful manner and assisting with the pre-employment screening process including the disposition of job candidates, scheduling of interviews, and the verification of required on-boarding documents. You will also participate in the preparation of monthly new hire orientation and other HR related events. You will be responsible for monthly billing and processing of invoices.

In this highly interactive and multifaceted position you will be required to triage high volume employee inquiries related to benefits, compensation, immigration, and HR policies as well as conducting ongoing employment audits for I-9 eligibility and Joint Commission compliance.

The qualified candidate will be an experienced administrative professional with superior customer service skills working in a hospitality or healthcare environment. The ability to build trusted relationships and work with people at all levels is essential. Excellent communication and the ability to critically think as well as the ability to multitask complex projects requiring strict attention to detail are imperative.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
