Job Overview:

The primary function of the Industrial Gas Handler is to document, load, unload and inspect all cylinders being returned and shipped. This is a full-time, Non-Exempt position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Fill cylinders following safe practice guidelines and according to FDA guidelines outlined in our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual.
  • Move/store full stock into appropriate building and staging areas for drivers.
  • Maintain, stock, order and test inbound bulk product per FDA and SOP guidelines.
  • Document and retain records for all products being filled by vendors.
  • Repair, paint and test cylinders.
  • Maintain cylinder stocks and request supply of cylinders as dictated by business.
  • Stock, maintain, and order all labels, plant supplies, paint, washers, seals, full/empty tags and other items.
  • Break down and rebuild cradles.
  • Maintain, purge and organize all FDA paperwork as directed in the SOP Manual.
  • Utilize cylinder stocks as needed, painting and changing service of cylinders as business dictates.
  • Observe, maintain and request service on all fill plant equipment.
  • Monitor and request service on forklift.
  • Maintain plant office and rest room in an organized manner.
  • Stand/Sit for several hours at a time.
  • Perform any duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Able to pass 7-year background check.
