For over 100 years, Gross Residential has been achieving success in real estate ownership through our integration of the development and construction process. Our team of professionals would like to add an acquisitions manager to help continue our growth and success.

This position will consist of market research and consultant management in either our Nashville or Charlotte office. Additionally, there will be travel within existing market regions as well as travel to other markets to locate and entitle real estate for multifamily developments.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Develop & maintain relationships with consultants, landowners, and municipalities
• Acquire knowledge of market conditions in existing and new regions
• Source, identify, and propose development opportunities
• Conduct due diligence research of local governance and all AHJ
• Compile data and recommend suitable properties; assist with purchase agreements
• Coordinate with outside consultants to perform land planning and to create entitlement presentations and documents to satisfy governing regulations
• Oversee the due diligence and the entitlement process to obtain construction and building permits
• Coordinate with internal architecture and construction team to verify construction documents are compliant with entitlements

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE:

• Bachelors degree in land planning, real estate or related field
• 5+ years of demonstrated success in land acquisitions or relevant experience in land entitlement processes. An understanding of civil engineering requirements and site design parameters is a benefit.
• Background in preparing pro forma and budget documents
• Experience in researching land use regulations and the ability to creatively apply them to create a land plan for multifamily communities
• Self-motivated with collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software a must. Knowledge of computer aided design and illustration software is a benefit
