What your typical day will look like:

• As a critical part of the local leadership team , you will interface and partner with internal and external stakeholders extensively.
• Leading, motivating and winning the confidence of a high performing team.
• Setting safety stock levels of inventory components and finished goods.
• Determining component delivery schedules to support the build schedule.
• Communicating with suppliers to assure timely delivery.
• Reporting and resolving material support concerns daily.
• Effectively supporting manufacturing by ensuring component availability.
• Analyzing inventory to maximize turns.
• Planning for the phase in and phase out of new product introductions and engineering changes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Assessing and managing the material requirements planning system to assure consistency ; analyzes the causes for inconsistency within the process.
• Coordinating material planning activity for material with long lead time to eliminate any potential supply interruption and minimize inventory.
• Managing the Material Planning team.
• Optimizing inventory value and storage

What your background looks like :

Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related degree or experience.

Five or more years of experience managing materials, scheduling, inventory and/or like areas.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
