Licensed Psychologist or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Thornton, CO

The Practice: Family Medicine Associates is a well-established practice with a diverse patient population. We are primarily a primary care practice, but we believe there is a great importance in having integrated behavioral health is pivotal to full spectrum primary care. We are looking for a mental health professional to join our dynamic and growing team to better address the needs of our patients.

Our practice is a member of the independent practice association (IPA), PHPprime. PHPprime provides wrap-around services to help make our practice successful, including care coordination, practice transformation coaching, risk adjustment coding education, population health management, data and analytics, specialist network management, and large group contracting.

The Community: Our practice is conveniently located north of Denver in Thornton, CO. We have been in the community for nearly two decades and have a well-established and diverse patient population.

The Position:
  • Provides a wide range of mental health services to diverse patient population.
  • Adheres to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Records complete, timely and legible medical records to facilitate coordination of care with the primary care team.
Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

For Psychologist

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited Psychology Program
  • Experience working with Medicaid population is a plus
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Experience working with EClinicalWorks EHR is beneficial but adaptability and ability to learn the system is most important.
  • 2 or more years' experience in clinical psychology primary care or behavioral medicine preferred.
  • Experience working with different populations such as adolescents, adults, couples, and families and with a variety of concerns is desired.
For PMHNP / NP

  • Degree from an accredited program
  • PMHNP-BC certification in Colorado
  • 2+ years of experience providing care in a clinical setting is preferred
  • Experience working with Medicaid population is a plus
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Experience working with EClinicalWorks EHR is beneficial but adaptability and ability to learn the system is most important.
Job Schedule: Part or Full time

Shift: Days

Workdays: Thursday and Fridays in person with option to do telehealth Monday-Wednesday if full time is desired.

Salary: $85,000-$130,000 depending on experience and schedule.
