We're hiring a Patient Accounts Representative for our busy Physical Therapy Office in Killingly (Dayville), CT. We are looking for someone who would like a career in a long-standing medical practice whom take work culture, team goals and creative opportunities seriously.
  • Verifies patient insurance benefits, effectively calculating deductibles, co-payments and co-insurances. Relays this information to patients directly
  • Daily collections of cost shares, implementing payment plans when necessary
  • Balancing incoming monies at end of day/month
  • Managing authorizations, maintain current filing systems
  • Running of reports to maintain accurate client census
  • Patient aging/collections
  • Obtaining demographics, confirming all soft files are complete
  • Checking in/out patients
  • Scheduling Intakes
  • Direct patient contact scheduling patient appointments in person or over the phone
  • Scanning and filing of documentation into EMR, faxing, copying, data entry
  • Collaboration and communication with other staff to effectively complete tasks
  • Managing daily tasks; time management, prioritization and sound judgment are a must
  • Insurance verification and benefits knowledge is mandatory
  • Medical office experience (Minimum 1 year)
  • Billing knowledge is preferred
  • Familiarity with Webpt is a plus
  • Insurance authorization experience/knowledge is preferred
  • Workers Compensation knowledge/familiarity preferred
  • Fluent use of computer skills, excel, typing and phone ethics
  • Customer service: Minimum 1 year
  • Ability to earn bonus incentives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
