Payroll Clerk Job at Community Health Systems Prof Serv Corp
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Opens and distributes mail
- Works in various software systems for payroll support functions
- Tracks payroll status timestamps weekly
- Monitors and maintains payroll supply inventory
- Schedules department meetings
- Iron Mountain/record retention
- Maintains confidentiality as it pertains to all payroll information
- Participates in provided training programs as applicable
- Performs responsibilities that contribute towards meeting or exceeding team and center goals
- Promptly escalate appropriate issues to supervisor and/or manager
- Provide suggestions and/or recommendations for changes to applicable processes or tools as recognized from functioning in the role on a daily basis.
- Adheres to code of conduct and Mission and Value statement of the company
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma required;
- Minimum 1 year work experience in office, processing center or similar environment
- Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills required
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
Preferred
- Experience with KRONOS (Work Force Central) and UltiPro payroll system strongly preferred
- Experience in large payroll processing for multi-state and/or multiple facilities preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred
- Payroll experience in a healthcare field, a plus
