Plastic Extrusion Operator Job at Dura-Trel Inc.
DuraTrel Inc is a small PVC extrusion company located in Sheboygan Falls. We manufacture PVC to make into Picnic Tables, Arbors and Trellises. We have built our reputation by offering a quality product to all of our retailers and excellent service.
We are looking for a plastic extrusion operator for 2nd shift with flexibility to train on another shift.
Job Description:
- This position includes setup of dies, production and tear down of the extrusion lines.
- Basic computer skills to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be able to effectively use a tape measure, micrometer or other gages to determine specification requirements.
- Must be able to stand and lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasions
- Maintains overall cleanliness of work area.
Responsibilities
- Work in an independent environment and stay on task
- Follow established procedures
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts to team leads
Skills
- previous extrusion/machine set up knowledge is required.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. staple guns, power drills,& saws)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Problem solving and good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Forklift driver experience prefered.
Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three years of related experience.
Forklift training is preferred
Job Type: Full Time, 2nd shift, 1st shift.
Pay up to $33 per hour
