We are continuing to grow, and are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our team. While this position is remote, we prefer the employee to be located near our Woodbury, NY office.

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the implementation of pricing for all Clever Devices branded and third-party products, including certain software and services. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing highly confidential data and working closely with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Customer Service involving pricing. As a Pricing Analyst, you will need the ability to carry out presentations, work with spreadsheets and run or participate in meetings. In this role not only are you to run or participate in meetings, you must be prepared for strategy and/or price discussions.

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting pricing integrity (price accuracy) decision implementation across the entire pricing lifecycle including initial pricing, reductions and/or discount pricing. The Pricing Analyst evaluates data and recommends pricing strategies. The Pricing Analyst supports the Account Management Team by delivering a competitive and fair market value price to new and existing customers. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for pricing quotes, budgeting, RFPs (Request for Proposal) which requires working alongside both the Proposal and Legal department to deliver a winning proposal.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understanding of financial modeling/measures, the ability to partner across multiple groups, and to effectively communicate objectives and changes to team members and executives
• Make sense of complex data and translate that data into meaningful analysis as well as the ability to report, interpret, and summarize results
• Maintain accurate and competitive pricing that meets the objectives for the product line.

• Support the sales and/or lead proposal staff responsible for understanding and communicating RFP requirements related to pricing
• Obtain pricing input such as material costs, engineering development labor estimates, project labor estimates for input on pricing package

• Organizing and leading price reviews with Proposal, Sales, Deployment, and Executive personnel.
• Present all cost, price and margin content included in the pricing package to the Executive Team, and for making changes and adjustments as the Executive Team directs in a concise manner
• Responsible for preparing the deliverable pricing package to the end user client.
  • This responsibility includes assessing client RPF requirements for pricing formats, translating Clever Devices pricing model into a fully compliant cost proposal and providing pricing notes to support or explain individual line items when necessary
• Provide cost and pricing support for all phases of the business life cycle from proposal development, contract negotiations, project budgeting, cost-price analysis and audits.
• Support the Operations department by preparing project budget summaries based upon the pricing package as well as supporting client cost-price analysis and the audit processes
• Provide quote development for re-orders and stand-alone system requirements
• Compile informational reports regarding historical and competitive pricing from FOIA Process requests as provided by the proposal team
• Work within RFP and proposal deadlines to provide accurate, competitive and profitable pricing
• Anticipate the fundamental questions that management is likely to ask in a final pricing meeting and make sure that the Pricing Analysts are prepared to provide ready answers for those questions

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. (Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, Statistics, etc.)
• Advanced Level Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with complex financial modeling. Strong mathematical and accounting skills including cost accounting principles
• Exceptional critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize work
• Must have the ability to communicate effective across the entire organization.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions.
• Work well under tight deadlines to manage multiple projects at one time.
• 2-4 years government and/or transit pricing experience desired.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) a plus.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles.

While hybrid and remote work schedules are possible, candidates must be able to commute to our Long Island offices, when necessary, for meetings and other events.
