InterMoor Inc is looking to add an experienced Procurement Manager to the team in Morgan City. The Procurement Manager oversees procurement requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders, verifying receipt of items, and authorizing payment. They will also perform buying duties when necessary.



Duties

  • Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests
  • Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists
  • Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications
  • Ensure Company's compliance with industry and governmental standards
  • Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Participates in personnel movements worldwide by investigating and booking all means of transportation
  • Ensure the Approved Vendors List is updated, and vendors are audited according to developed schedules
  • Participates in the audit process for the AVL
  • Ensure the development of a competitive market and vendor pricing list
  • Able to assist in the development of procurement procedures
  • Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives
  • Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery



Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in the procurement process
  • Knowledge of Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
  • Knowledge of the Offshore Industry
  • Knowledge in Steel purchasing a plus
